Top 7 Tips to improve your digestive health
When
we talk about a healthy lifestyle, what we think? We think usually about eating
nutritious food and doing exercise. Though, we all know nutrition and exercise
aren’t always enough for most ideal results.
There
are many ways to improve our digestive wellbeing, however our way of life and
environment makes it troublesome. Here are some best recommendations to keep
your digestion on right way.
1.
Use right
combination of food
Food
combining is the little known secret. When foods are combined properly they
enhance your digestion and also help you to lose weight.
There are many ways for right
combination of food. To combine food the right way, eat protein with vegetables
or grains with vegetables, but not proteins with grains. Also, fruits should be
eaten alone on an empty stomach to avoid fermentation and bloating.
2.
Take adequate Water
We
all know that we should take plenty of water, but I suggest you to drink a
glass of water 15 minutes before each meal. This habit will get your digestive
juices flowing and help your food settle.
Our
body loses water through breathing, sweating and also in digestion so it
becomes essential to re hydrate by drinking plenty of fluids, eating food or
fruits that contains high amount of water.
3.
Eat on schedule.
Taking
meals and snacks on a regular schedule can help keep your digestive
system in top shape. When you do not eat at a consistent time each day, it can
cause stomach to overwork resulting in bloating and indigestion and eating on
schedule allow proper digestion of food.
Take
your breakfast within one hour of your morning walk, lunch should be after 4-5
hours after breakfast and dinner should be at least 2 hours before you go to
bed.
4.
Take benefits of
Probiotics.
Probiotics
are live bacteria and yeasts that are naturally found in our intestine and
known as good bacteria. I recommend you to take yogurt, juices, aged-cheese and
soya milk regularly. They not only help to improve digestion and to build up
immunity. When our digestive systems have been affected by improper foods or
processed foods, these digestive enzymes can help a lot.
5.
Use dietary fibers.
Dietary
fibers also known as roughage basically are the parts of plant foods that
our body cannot digest or absorbs. High fiber diets have many benefits they
help to maintain the bowel health and help to reduce weight. Drink lots of
water, too, too much fiber without water can lead to constipation.
6.
Manage stress.
Too
much stress or anxiety can disturb your digestive system. Keep you stress level
balanced so that you enjoy a healthy life. You can try for some relaxation
therapy. There are some foods specially junk foods that can disturb you
digestion and cause stress too. If you are having some stress that is
disturbing your digestion you should consult to the doctor.
7.
Become ritual, have
Fast.
Here
I’m only suggesting you to take some gap between meals. Give your system about
three or four hours to let the food get assimilated.
